Department of Defense Funding Workshop

The Department of Defense (DoD) fosters novel approaches to biomedical research in response to the expressed needs of its stakeholders-the American public, the military, and Congress. Their research portfolio includes the full pipeline of research development, including basic, translational, and clinical research and emphasizes paradigm-shifting research, collaboration and synergy.

DoD officials invited the Houston metropolitan research community to a workshop on medical research funding opportunities and how projects are selected for funding by the DoD.
