Houston Methodist Hospital - Anesthesia Residency Program from Houston Methodist on Vimeo.

The Houston Methodist Hospital (HMH) is the U.S. News number one ranked hospital in Texas and is located in the heart of the Texas Medical Center (TMC), the largest medical complex in the world. As the leading hospital in the TMC, we are excited to launch our anesthesiology residency program and want you to be a part of it. Our new categorical residency program will offer six candidates a unique blend of experiences that will make you suited to practice and succeed in any environment. We have over 85 operating rooms, over 900 beds, 7 ICU’s and a quality and safety record that is among the best in the nation, all characteristics critical to house an exceptional training program.

The overwhelming majority of your rotations, from intern year until graduation, will be within the walls of the Houston Methodist Hospital. Off-site rotations in pediatrics, labor/delivery and trauma will all be within the TMC at UT Houston. You will have access to international health opportunities and leadership training from some of the pre-eminent luminaries in our specialty.  Our hospital houses the award winning Houston Methodist Research Institute, a state of the art simulation center and an academic affiliation with both Texas A&M and Weill Cornell University.

We are seeking exceptional candidates who are diverse in every sense of the word. We are committed to training the next generation of leaders in our specialty and in healthcare. You can be assured that our dedication to your success will be noticeable from the moment you step foot on our campus. Together we will build a program that will quickly stand amongst the best in the nation. Our faculty and institution are excited to welcome you as the inaugural class of anesthesia residents and we cannot wait for you to join.
