The fellows rotate through five different ICUs with a clinical mentor assigned to each rotation and participate in critiquing and synthesizing research for use in practice for the critically ill and incorporating sound research conclusions into their practice

Engineering Medicine (EnMed)

Houston Methodist and Texas A&M University have launched a joint program that integrates medical education and research with a focus on innovation and entrepreneurship to empower future professionals with the clinical skills to diagnose symptoms and treat patients along with the engineering mindset to solve problems, invent new technologies, and rapidly move these innovative ideas to practice in patient care.

Mentored Research Clinical Research Training Program

The program offers junior physicians at Weill Cornell and Houston Methodist a fast-track program to acquire the skillset to develop a clinical research project proposal and embark on a clinical research career pathway. Following an intensive, four-day workshop, trainees develop their own clinical research projects with guidance from experienced clinical researchers at Weill Cornell and/or Houston Methodist.
