June 18, 2026: A Conversation on Restoring Movement and Mobility
Dr. Marc Boom is joined by Dimitry G. Sayenko, MD, PhD, and Philip J. Horner, PhD, leaders in the Houston Methodist Center for Regeneration within the Houston Methodist Research Institute. They shared their latest work in restoring movement and mobility for patients impacted by brain injuries or stroke and discussed how it may soon be possible for clinicians to rewire your brain in the not-so-distant future. Dr. Boom closed the program with details of an inspirational nine-way kidney swap, as well as announcing the establishment of the Houston Methodist Cell and Gene Therapy Center and the world-class leader who was recruited to be its director.

March 26, 2026: A Conversation on Underwood Center for Digestive Health
Dr. Marc Boom is joined by Christopher Fan, MD, and Bincy Abraham, MD, gastroenterologists in the Houston Methodist Lynda K. and David M. Underwood Center for Digestive Health, for a discussion about two transformational initiatives supported by The Fondren Foundation: the Fondren Inflammation Collaborative and the Fondren IBD Transition Program. Dr. Boom closed the program with details of two important anniversaries, recent awards and accolades, and the announcement of the new director of the Houston Methodist Dr. Mary and Ron Neal Cancer Center.

December 18, 2025: A Conversation on Improving Patient Experience
Dr. Marc Boom is joined by Tesha Montgomery, RN, MHA, FACHE, Senior Vice President of System Patient Access, and Stephen Spielman, MBA, MHA, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Houston Methodist Physician Organization, for a discussion about improving the patient experience through access transformation and technology, as well as expanding our “front doors” with comprehensive care clinics and other service sites in the community. Dr. Boom closed the program with details of a few recent celebrations, including recognizing some 50-year+ employees and the 25th anniversary of Houston Methodist Willowbrook.

September 10, 2025: A Conversation on Advancements in Neurosurgery
Dr. Marc Boom is joined by Gavin Britz, MD, MPH, MBA, FAANS, chair of the Department of Neurosurgery, and Valentin Dragoi, PhD, scientific director of the Center for Neural Systems Restoration, for a discussion about scientific advancements in neurosurgery and an introduction to our groundbreaking Center for Neural Systems Restoration (a partnership with Rice University). The conversation following their presentations is among the highlights of the hour. Dr. Boom closed the program with details of our latest rankings from U.S. News & World Report (spoiler alert: Houston Methodist is the #1 hospital in Texas for the 14th consecutive year!) as well as details about the construction and opening of our new Centennial Tower.
