Vision Becomes Reality

Twenty years ago, Houston Methodist embarked on a new journey of establishing standalone academic programs and its own academic institute. Through heartfelt perseverance, we launched our first 12 ACGME-accredited programs in 2005 and have since established more than 80 Graduate Medical Education programs that train nearly 450 residents and fellows each year.

 

Our strategic academic and research partnerships and our dedicated physicians, program directors, administrators and employees who work incessantly to improve these programs year after year continue to be instrumental in our success. Our vision 20 years ago to redefine our organization into a research and training hub for the next generation of innovative physicians, scientists and medical leaders is now reality.
