Stereotactic Functional Neurosurgery Fellowship

The Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery Fellowship Program is a non-ACGME, Texas Medical Board (TMB) accredited training program. It is 12 months in duration and is offered to those who have completed neurosurgery training. 

The purpose of this fellowship is to train fellows with a highly refined clinical acumen and surgical skill set that will allow them to most effectively treat a range of disorders ranging from movement disorders, spasticity, pain disorders, and epilepsy with techniques focused on stereotaxy, neuromodulation, intrathecal drug delivery, radiosurgery, and the incorporation of advanced imaging and surgical robotics. At the conclusion of the fellowship, the fellow will have mastered patient selection for operative and non-operative management in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, and demonstrate proficiency in epilepsy, pain, and stereotactic and functional techniques. The fellow will also participate in both clinical and research projects.

Application deadline is January 31 of the intended fellowship year, which begins July 1 (no exceptions).
