celebrate doctors' day 2021

This past year cemented the significance of doctors in our lives. They were here for us when we faced natural disasters, deadly diseases, unsettling diagnoses and recurrent illnesses.

As National Doctors’ Day approaches on March 30, we at Houston Methodist are grateful to have doctors who put their patients at the center of everything they do. We are equally thankful to you, the patient, for placing your trust in doctors who walked with you every step of your journey. Anamaria Arboleda is one such person who put her care in the hands of Houston Methodist’s talented physicians. She recently shared her experience being treated by Dr. Orlando Diaz, associate professor of clinical neurosurgery at Houston Methodist:

"Now I know why people call Dr. Diaz ‘Manos de Oro’ (Golden Hands). He is a gifted physician, and he saved my life. I am very thankful to him and to Houston Methodist; both my procedure and care were amazing. I have no words to describe how excellent my experience was."

Join us as we commemorate Doctors' Day on March 30. Now, this day of thanks means so much more. It symbolizes hope.

Give Your Doctor a High-Five!

Like Mrs. Arboleda, you have an opportunity to provide a personal message of gratitude to a doctor who made a tremendous impact on your life or a loved one’s life. You can also make a gift online in recognition of your doctor. We will be sending your notes of gratitude to physicians after Doctors’ Day on March 30.
