Biography

Dr. Hina Faisal, is a board certified Anesthesiologist and Critical Care Physician. She is a graduate of Dow University of Health Science, Karachi, Pakistan. She did basic surgical training at Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and few years of surgery residency at the Department of Surgery, University of Tennessee College of Medicine, and Chattanooga, Tennessee. Due to lot of interest in critical care, she changed her career to Anesthesia and then she completed her residency in Anesthesiology at Case Western Reserve University (MetroHealth) Program, Cleveland, Ohio. After residency, she completed a fellowship in Anesthesia Critical Care Medicine at University of Texas Houston- McGovern Medical School.

 

Dr. Faisal started with Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group, Department of Surgery in March 2019 as a faculty member.  As a faculty member Dr. Faisal has assisted the Department of Surgery Residency program with lectures and training. Her clinical expertise is surgical critical care and anesthesiology. She is also a member of American Board of Anesthesiologist and American Medical Association. Her other interest are reading, writing, cooking, singing and gardening. She speaks English, Urdu and Tourist Arabic. Her clinical and teaching interests include regional anesthesia and global health.
