ECMO & LVAD Bootcamp Registration

ECMO & LVAD  Bootcamp

In collaboration with the Texas Chapter of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center is hosting an ECMO & LVAD Bootcamp, designed to educate audiences on the current management of mechanical circulatory support and ECMO.

In this three hour hands on session, attendees will gain experience with:

  • current options with left ventricular assist devices as well as ECMO therapy.
  • cannulation options, and closed loop circuits to evaluate and treat common problems with Heartmate II LVAD's, HeartWare LVAD's, Centrimag/Quadrox ECMO and Cardiohelp ECMO Consoles.
  • ultrasound to image internal jugular veins and assess options for Avalon Elite veno-venous ECMO Cannulas.

The course is designed for Intensivists, Cardiologists, Pulmonologists, midlevel practitioners, critical care nurses, and allied health professionals dealing with critical care issues.
