Concussion Center

The Concussion Center is the first center of its kind in Houston. The center provides comprehensive services, including diagnosis, treatment, and education, to the professional, student and recreational athletes as well as school coaches and athletic trainers.

 

Comprehensive Epilepsy Program 

The Epilepsy Program is a Level 4 multi-disciplinary program comprised of physicians from various specialties. We provide the most advanced care for patients with any episodic events, including epilepsy and seizures.

 

Eddy Scurlock Stroke Center

The Eddy Scurlock Stroke Center offers a coordinated, interdisciplinary rapid-response system for treating stroke victims. Our exceptional team of physicians and highly dedicated nursing staff provide immediate stroke intervention and care. It is a leader in all areas of stroke research, including diagnosis, innovative treatments, prevention, rehabilitation, and recovery.

 

General Neurology

Our general neurologists provide care for a variety of neurological conditions. Commonly treated symptoms associated with these conditions include headaches, trigeminal neuralgia, tingling, neck pain, back pain, numbness, dizziness memory loss, tremors and weakness. Patients are seen by referral only. Patients should bring medical records, including all imaging studies (CT and MRI scans), to their appointment.

 

MDA/ALSA ALS Clinic

The MDA/ALSA ALS Clinic is the first multidisciplinary care clinic for patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), sometimes called Lou Gehrig's disease, in the United States. We use a team approach to assist patients with ALS and apply the latest therapies and proactive symptom management in a positive and caring setting.

 

Nantz National Alzheimer Center 

The Nantz National Alzheimer Center (NNAC) provides comprehensive diagnostic, evaluation and treatment for Alzheimer's and related memory disorders. The NNAC is an outpatient clinical service dedicated to care and research for individuals with memory problems and to the support of their families.

 

Neuromuscular Clinic

The Neuromuscular Clinic specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and research of neuromuscular diseases. We use a multidisciplinary approach to assist patients with neuromuscular diseases to live with their condition and apply the latest therapies and proactive symptom management in a positive and caring setting. 

 

Movement Disorders Clinic 

The Movement Disorder Clinic is devoted to care and research for patients with Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders. These include Parkinsonism, progressive supranuclear palsy, multiple system atrophy, tremor (including essential tremor), dystonia, Tourette's syndrome and other tic disorders, Huntington's disease, myoclonus, restless legs syndrome and spasticity.

 

Speech and Language Center

The Speech and Language Center provides evaluation and treatment options for patients who have difficulty with speech and language. These conditions include stuttering, spasmodic dysphonia and slurred speech, in addition to problems with language such as aphasia and apraxia.
