Thomas Hong, MD

Assistant Professor of Clinical Cardiology, Academic Institute
Assistant Clinical Member, Research Institute
Houston Methodist
Weill Cornell Medical College

Biography

Dr. Hong joined the Methodist Hospital in 2005 after completing his postdoctoral training. While at Methodist, he has served as a member of the Cardiology Care Management Performance Improvement Committee, and the Electrophysiology and Pacemaker Intervention Quality Management Subcommittee.

Description of Research

Dr. Hong´s research focuses on cardiac electrophysiology. In 2004, he received funding from the American Society of Echocardiography for his study that tested a real-time three-dimensional echocardiography technique to measure ventricular dyssynchrony and to asses cardiac resynchronization therapy. He is currently a sight principal investigator for the NIH sponsored PACE-MI clinical trial.
