The health benefits of quitting smoking are extensive and include reduced risk of developing serious health conditions, such as lung cancer and heart disease. On average, most smokers try to quit at least seven times before succeeding. The tobacco cessation program is designed to help individuals quit for good.
Quit-and-Get-Fit Tobacco Cessation Program
We offer free individual counseling sessions and guidance focusing on exercise, good nutrition and effective stress-management strategies. Participants work one-on-one with a trained specialist to set a stop date, develop a cessation plan and monitor ongoing progress. A fitness assessment and consultation, massage and session with a registered dietitian are also included in the program.
For ongoing support, an orally administered cotinine test, which evaluates tobacco exposure, will help determine whether employees continue to use tobacco products. This oral test can be administered in conjunction with a biometric screening process.
