Biography

Kelly Maresh is responsible for the operational aspects of clinical trials at TMHRI. In this role, she oversees clinical trials study coordination, IRB preparation and regulatory document management, cost analysis and study budget preparation, and research coordinator training and development. Kelly has over 20 years of experience in clinical nursing and 20 years of experience in clinical research.

Kelly received her diploma in nursing from the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Omaha, Nebraska and her B.S.N. from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She received her M.B.A. from Texas Woman’s University in 2007. Kelly is certified as a Clinical Research Coordinator (C.C.R.C.). Kelly worked as a Clinical Research Manager in Cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine for 15 years prior to joining TMHRI in September 2005. Kelly is a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Cardiac Care Associate (CCA), the American Heart Association (AHA), the Society of Research Administrators International (SRA), the Drug Information Association (DIA), the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP), the Association of Clinical Research Nurses (ACRN), and is an appointed member of the Methodist Hospital Research/Evidence Based Practice Council. She has served on several national advisory committees and groups related to clinical research, and has published and presented at national scientific meetings.
