Dr. Bruckner is a cardiovascular surgeon at the Methodist DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center at the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. His specialties include cardiothoracic, transplant surgery and placement of left ventricular assist devices (LVADs). In January 2007, he was inducted in to the “Cooley Hands” International Surgical Society. Dr. Bruckner is a member of the American Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society, the Society of Artificial Organs and the International Society of Heart & Lung Transplantation.

Description of Research

Dr. Bruckner´s research centers around cardiac stem cell therapies for heart failure patients, and myocardial modeling during LVAD support.
