Cathy Easter joined Houston Methodist in 1991 and serves as senior vice president of Community Development. She played a fundamental role in establishing the Community Benefits Program and continues to coordinate Methodist’s charity care and community benefit initiatives. Easter was a 2012 community honoree at the Shalom Health Ministries Benefit Luncheon and Bering Omega’s 2007 Songs for Hope fundraising event. In 2004, she was named an “Up & Comer” in Modern Healthcare magazine, due largely to her role in community development.
Concurrently, Easter serves as president and CEO of Houston Methodist Global Health Care Services, a sub-corporation of Houston Methodist. Prior to her role as president and CEO, she served as vice president of Operations for Houston Methodist Global Health Care Services. Easter holds a Bachelor of Science in computer science education/health and a Master of Science in public health from Baylor University.
Ryane Jackson joined Houston Methodist in 2012 and serves as Manager for the Community Benefits Department. Her role focuses on cultivation of community partnerships, strategic planning, internal volunteer programs, and management of community initiatives and charity care for all five hospitals within Houston Methodist.
Prior to joining Methodist, Jackson served as the assistant director of Annual Giving at the University of St. Thomas, where she was charged with generating operational support as well as cultivating relationships with alumni and the general Houston community. In addition to her current role, Jackson has served as a media relations associate for the Houston Rockets seasonally since 2007. Jackson holds a Bachelor of Arts in communications from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master of Liberal Arts in public relations from the University of St. Thomas.
Darell Lennear joined Houston Methodist in 2013 where he served as a Volunteer Coordinator in the Volunteer Services Department. He recently joined the Community Benefits Department and now serves as Project Specialist. His role includes building upon the foundation of the I CARE In Action employee volunteer program, cultivating community partner relationships, conducting community research, and assisting with general community outreach efforts on behalf of Houston Methodist.
Before joining Houston Methodist, Darell served as an Account Manager for Coca-Cola where he was in charge of developing and executing strategic sales initiatives in the South Houston area. Darell holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing/Management from Oakwood University and a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University.
