After completing a neuroradiology fellowship at Tufts-New England Medical Center, Dr. Klucznik served as the chief of neuroradiology CT/MRI at the Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center of the Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas where he received the Air Force Commendation Medal. He then completed an interventional neuroradiology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and subsequently was appointed Assistant Professor of Radiology at BCM in 1996. Dr. Klucznik joined the staff at The Methodist Hospital that same year as an interventional neuroradiologist and was appointed Director of Interventional Neuroradiology at TMH in 2005. Read more

Dr. Orlando Diaz is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and holds a certificate of added qualifications in neuroradiology. Formerly an assistant professor in interventional radiology at Baylor College of Medicine and chief of interventional neuroradiology at Ben Taub General Hospital, he joined the medical staff at Houston Methodist Hospital in 2007 and provides advanced neuroradiology and interventional neuroradiology services at the Texas Medical Center, West Houston, Surgar Land and Willowbrook campuses. Dr. Zhang specializes in comprehensive treatment of cerebrovascular disorders, including aneurysm, arteriovenous (AV) malformation, dural and spinal AV fistula, carotid cavernous fistula, cavernous malformation, extracranial and intracranial arterial stenosis or occlusion, hyperacute stroke, and intracranial hemorrhage, with endovascular (catheter based) and open microsurgical techniques, as well as stereotactic radiosurgery. Steve H. Fung, M.D. is a Neuroradiologist and Assistant Professor of Radiology at the Houston Methodist Neurological Institute and Medical Director of the MRI Core at the Houston Methodist Research Institute. Dr. Fung’s clinical and research interests include application of advanced MRI techniques in evaluating diseases of the central nervous system, including brain tumors, cerebrovascular disease/stroke, dementia/neurodegenerative diseases, and epilepsy. He provides functional MRI and diffusion tensor tractography for planning of neurosurgical cases. Read more

Dr. David Chiu is Medical Director of the Houston Methodist Hospital Eddy Scurlock Stroke Center in Houston and Neurologist at the Methodist Neurological Institute. His active clinical practice benefits from his extensive translational research in extending the time and quality of life for stroke patients, acute stroke treatment, stroke prevention in those who have experienced Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) and stroke. Dr. Volpi clinical interests include the evaluation of hospitalized patients and outpatients with cerebrovascular disease, such as ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke as well as the critical care of patients with other neurological diseases. His primary clinical and research interests are in the management and prevention of ischemic stroke and the critical care of patients with neurological illnesses, such as epilepsy, intracerebral hemorrhage, and nervous system infections. Dr. Thomas’ clinical interests include the clinical evaluation of both critically and acutely hospitalized patients with cerebrovascular disease, and outpatients with cerebrovascular disease, including the clinical sequelae of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke.  His primary research interests include:   pathophysiological mechanisms of stroke, epidemiological analysis of risk factors of stroke, preventive measures of stroke, and the acute treatment of stroke.Read more

Dr. Lee is a Professor in the Departments of Ophthalmology, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Weill Cornell Medical College. He is a Neuro-ophthalmologist and is the Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at Houston Methodist Hospital. He is also an adjunct Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Iowa. Dr. Lee came to Houston Methodist Hospital after serving on the faculty at both the University of Iowa, Baylor College of Medicine and the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Read more
