Stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) is the application of both SRS and SRT techniques to areas of the body other than the head and neck. This form of radiation therapy differs from SRS and SRT because organs and tumors in areas outside of the cranial region are more prone to change position relative to other organs in the body. These positional changes are due to various factors, including respiration. Special techniques are incorporated to adjust the dose delivery to compensate for any changes of tumor position.
