Neurological Physical Therapy

The focal point of neurological physical therapy is to improve functional mobility, strength, endurance, and overall quality of life for individuals living with acute or chronic neurological conditions, such as
  • Stroke
  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Acquired brain injury (such as encephalitis or anoxia)
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Amputations
  • Neuromuscular diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Guillain-Barré syndrome and Parkinson’s disease

Physical therapists develop rehabilitation programs based on the individual needs of each patient. The goal of all rehabilitation programs is to maximize the patient’s functional independence. Additionally, education on safe and effective at-home care, as well as exercises for optimum rehab, is provided for patients' families.
