What past attendees have to say about the Re-Evolution Summit:
"A very topical and up to date course covering the principles and practice of all aspects of minimally invasive cardiac surgery. The 'hands on' demonstrations in the wet lab were amongst the most impressive that I have ever personally experienced" -David Taggart, MD, PhD, FRCS. Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery, University of Oxford.
"It was the best course of many I ever attended, it was more than excellent!"
"Outstanding program, especially the workshop."
"Cutting edge stuff keep going"
Mahesh K. Ramchandani, MD
Basel Ramlawi, MD
Cardiac surgery is undergoing a significant paradigm shift towards increasing minimal access surgery within all subspecialty areas of practice. These include interventions for cardiac valve repair, coronary revascularization, ablation of atrial fibrillation, aortic pathology, and heart failure. Training in these minimally invasive techniques is important to better serve patients, improve outcomes, and maintain a competitive advantage. The goal of this conference is to provide up-to-date evidence based didactic lectures along with expert-instructed hands-on exposure to the latest in all aspects of minimal access cardiac surgery with an emphasis on hybrid approaches.
Cardiovascular surgeons, interventional cardiologists, fellows, residents, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and hospital administrators in the cardiovascular specialties.
Didactic lectures, case presentations, panel discussions, hands-on laboratory workshop featuring:
Minimally Invasive Skills Academy: Hands-On Workshop. Learn from the experts: Participants will rotate through several Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery hands-on stations and perform procedures under guidance of experts. Participants will perform procedures on cadavers, porcine models, sophisticated beating heart platforms and advanced simulators.
- Distinguish between open cardiac surgical techniques and minimal access cardiac surgical techniques
