Dr. Weiner

The Methodist Hospital (Houston) is a world class facility located in the Texas Medical Center. An environment during residency that provides access to cutting-edge advances and technologies while grounding individuals in the principles of Orthopedic Surgery.

Our residency program provides you with all the tools to further your career, providing the flexibility to pursue many different avenues. Our common goal, however, is to produce leaders in orthopaedic surgery---whether in academia, research, private practice, or administration. Our department is currently ranked 21st on the U.S. World News Report.

A multiple-decades-long tradition of academics sets The Methodist Hospital apart from other institutions. Many nationally-known full time teaching faculty team up to provide you the best clinical experience possible with abundant resources for education and an emphasis on your personal development as an orthopaedic surgeon. A strong academic affiliation with the Weill Cornell Medical College provides an anchor for educational excellence. For greater than 50 years The Methodist Hospital has served as a place where patients receive excellent care and residents receive outstanding medical training.

As part of our academic mission, The Methodist Hospital and our department are also dedicated to research which takes place at the state-of-the-art Methodist Hospital Research Institute and, specifically, within the Orthopaedic / Spine Advanced Technology Laboratory. This venue serves as the site for groundbreaking research and discoveries. Residents in our program are provided rotation months to complete research projects and manuscripts with a mentor in their chosen area.
We hope you take an opportunity to become familiar with our program at The Methodist Hospital. We encourage you to browse the website and to consider a visit.
