General admission and VIP advance tickets for the event are available now at www.sugarlandtownsquare.com.

The third annual Catwalk on City Walk will feature models displaying clothing and accessories from select Sugar Land Town Square retailers on a 44-foot runway backed by professional lighting and sound.

“Catwalk on City Walk promises to be a fantastic evening and we are pleased to partner with Methodist Sugar Land Hospital to benefit the Pretty in Pink Cancer fund,” said Shana Sonnier, Marketing and Event Manager for Sugar Land Town Square.  “Being a cancer patient can place tremendous financial strain on families due to lost work time, increased child care expenses, transportation costs and more, and the Pretty in Pink Cancer fund can help alleviate some of those difficulties.  This is a very special cause and one that provides direct benefit to Fort Bend residents.”

The evening begins with a reception from 7 – 8 p.m., where guests are welcome to mix, mingle and enjoy a variety of light hors d’oeuvres provided by Whole Foods Market Sugar Land. The show will follow the reception from 8 – 8:45 p.m.

“Catwalk on City Walk is a perfect ‘Girls’ Night Out’ activity and it benefits a charity that provides a great deal of help to women and families, including those women undergoing treatment for breast cancer,” said Sonnier.

The fashion show also serves as a kick-off for Pretty in Pink Town Square, a free community event scheduled for Friday, October 19th from 6 - 9 p.m., that will feature live music, kids’ activities and more.   Methodist Sugar Land Hospital and the Fort Bend Junior Service League have partnered with local breast surgeons Sandra Templeton, M.D. and Kelly Dempsey, M.D., to host Pretty in Pink Town Square, and more than $75,000 has already been raised by sponsors.

Visitors to Sugar Land Town Square on the evening of October 19th will be able to see and sign their names on the famous pink fire truck that travels across the country as a part of the “Pink Heals Tour.”

Former Central Fort Bend Chamber Alliance president Gail Parker, who is also a breast cancer survivor, will be the keynote speaker and will discuss how being optimistic helped her stay positive during her breast cancer treatment.
Pretty in Pink Town Square will feature the variety band Radio London, a moonwalk, face painting, magician, balloon artists and more.  After sundown, Town Square will be lit up in pink to honor all cancer survivors.
