Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital turned the night pink on Tuesday, October 1 with a lighting ceremony in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Tours were offered of the newly renovated Breast Imaging Center.
Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital will be bathed in pink lights throughout the Month of October at the Women’s & Children’s Pavilion entrance, visible from State Highway 249, the Breast Imaging Center entrance and the North Pavilion entrance.
“We are lighting our hospital pink in October as a visible reminder of the importance of breast cancer awareness, early detection and prevention of the disease,” said Beryl Ramsey, chief executive officer of Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital and senior vice president of Houston Methodist.
After non-melanoma skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer among American women. The newly renovated Breast Imaging Center offers expanded access to women in Northwest Houston and now features a second ultrasound room, front door access, reserved parking for patients and dedicated registration inside of the center.
