Houston Methodist offers a variety of didactic courses to health professionals to disseminate the latest knowledge of clinical treatment and management strategies.
Courses are available for clinicians and other professionals, and cover topics of interest to physicians, technicians, administrators, allied health professionals and nurses. Many courses are offered for continuing education credit for physicians and nurses. Houston Methodist is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Houston Methodist is recognized as part of the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Magnet Recognition Program®, and offers educational opportunities for both nurses and nursing students.
Methodist Institute for Technology, Innovation & Education (MITIESM) is a state-of-the-art comprehensive simulation center at Houston Methodist Hospital that is dedicated to procedural skills and the development of image-guided technology. MITIESM’s bold and unique model is that essential research and training facilities are housed in one location with a virtual hospital, procedural training lab, research operating rooms, and telepresence room.
Customized simulation training courses can be developed for physicians, nurses and allied health professionals. Courses can accommodate individual learners or groups. .
