The Lecture Series is a series of presentations designed to connect the experts at Methodist with the international healthcare community, at no cost to you or your institution.

Each month, you can participate in new video broadcast lectures from the convenience of your own institution. And, unlike many other medical conferences around the world, this lecture series focuses on key topics specifically requested by our international partners.

Program Overview

Houston Methodist Global is committed to building health care capacity internationally through the transfer of best practices. Houston Methodist Global's Lecture Series is a unique educational program that disseminates the latest, evidence-based knowledge of medical treatment and management to the international healthcare community via videoconferencing. The lecture series is an unrivaled opportunity for healthcare professionals to gain access to medical education of the highest quality, without the need or expense of traveling abroad.
Via video-broadcast, participants receive rich presentations regarding specific medical topics by clinical and administrative leaders from Houston Methodist Hospital.  Through a web-based forum, presenters from Houston Methodist Hospital engage in an interactive exchange with medical and administrative professionals from around the world. 
The Lecture Series provides professional certification and a forum for an open exchange of best practices and knowledge transfer between clinicians. By removing barriers to accessing education about the latest medical techniques, knowledge and practice with international health providers, we aim to help bridge the gap in quality healthcare delivery and improve patient care globally.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for international hospital-based physicians, nurses, and administrators.

Educational Objectives

At the conclusion of each activity, participants should be able to:

  • Integrate evidence-based strategies for patient care into clinical practice
  • Integrate new data and developments in medical science in order to reach appropriate clinical decisions
  • Base management decisions on the underlying cause of disease

Faculty Disclosures

Houston Methodist Office of Continuing Medical Education (OCME) makes every effort to develop CME activities that are scientifically based, accurate, current, and objectively presented. In accordance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education Standards for Commercial Support, TMH has implemented a mechanism requiring everyone in a position to control content of an educational activity (e.g., directors, planning committee members, contributors, peer reviewers, CME staff) to disclose any relevant financial relationships with commercial interests (drug/device companies) and manage/resolve any conflicts of interest prior to the activity. Accreditation and Credit Designation Statements

Houston Methodist is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Houston Methodist designates each internet presentation for 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTMPhysicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
