World class athletes come to our human performance lab facilities to improve their performance each season. We provide the everyday athlete and active population with the same services provided to these elite athletes. Whether you plan to run your first marathon, compete in triathlons, or just need help losing weight - we utilize state-of-the-art technology and current exercise science research to develop tailored programs specifically for you. Whatever the fitness level or personal goals, our staff is committed to helping every individual reach their athletic potential.
The specialized equipment and expert staff at the Human Performance Lab can provide a baseline for improving body function and overall productivity during performance as well as the tools to help monitor body fat, metabolic rate and pulmonary function during training periods and exercise programs. We combine years of practical experience to provide the athlete with an individually tailored program - enhancing training and performance based on results and exercise science.
Under the direction of Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician Scott Rand, MD nationally recognized in Sports Medicine education, and exercise physiologist Mark Morrison, MS, participants have access to years of experience. Both athletes themselves - participating in marathons and triathlons - they are able to provide valuable insight to the athlete and individuals wanting to become healthier through activity.
The tests also provide overweight patients with insurance required pre-surgery exercise testing as well as post surgery analysis - building towards a health promoting plan. The human performance lab team works closely with bariatric surgeons Dexter Turnquest, M.D. and Todd Worley, MD to help patients achieve sustained weight loss.
