The Dermatology Division at Houston Methodist Hospital delivers specialty care to patients suffering from diseases or conditions affecting the skin. In addition to full outpatient care, dermatologists often conduct inpatient consults for skin irritations or infections, as well as perform innovative surgical and therapeutic treatments on patients with skin cancer or a variety of skin diseases.

Houston Methodist Dermatologic Therapeutics Service offers state-of-the-art micrographic Mohs surgery, a minimally invasive, tissue-sparing procedure for some types of skin cancer. The service also uses phototherapy to help treat skin conditions such as psoriasis. Skin conditions diagnosed and treated by dermatologists at Houston Methodist include:

  • Skin reactions
  • Skin infections
  • Psoriasis
  • Eczema
  • Basal and squamous skin cancer
  • Malignant melanoma

Dedicated to comprehensive treatment of the body's largest organ, the Dermatology Division at Houston Methodist works across all centers, departments and specialties to ensure that patients get individualized care.
