Dr. Valderrábano's Biography

Dr. Miguel Valderrábano, cardiologist, is Chief of the Division of Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Methodist DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. His research and clinical interests focus on finding new more effective treatments for atrial fibrillation, including epicardial mapping and ablation. He also leads a basic research laboratory that has been funded by grants from the American Heart Association and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. Valderrábano came to Houston from Los Angeles, where he was Director of the Implanted Devices Clinic at the UCLA Cardiac Arrhythmia Center and assistant professor of medicine at UCLA Medical Center.
