Dr. Estep's Biography

Dr. Jerry Estep is an assistant professor and a heart failure specialist. He is the medical director of the heart transplant and left ventricular assist device (LVAD) program at Methodist. Dr. Estep has contributed to several published articles on advanced heart failure and is undertaking original research in the fields of heart failure, cardiac transplantation and echocardiography. As part of the heart failure program, he is actively involved in several multicenter clinical trials to study novel treatments for patients with decompensated heart failure. Dr. Estep is a member of the American Heart Association, International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation Association, Heart Failure Society of America. He is also a fellow of The American College of Cardiology.
