Understanding your risk is the first step in preventing heart disease. Through our affiliation with The Methodist Hospital System, Methodist DeBakey Cardiology Associates offers a variety of screening options to help you better understand and manage your risk of developing heart problems.
Heart Screening Packages: The Methodist Hospital System offers several heart screening packages to help you understand your risk. Learn more about Screening Packages
Executive Physicals: If your employer requires an executive health assessment, Methodist Wellness Services offers a full array of tests, including EKG and Treadmill Stress Test, that can be scheduled at your convenience. View a complete list of Executive Assessments & Services
Calcium Scoring Test: This simple test uses a CT scan to measure the amount of calcium found in the arteries of your heart, also known as your calcium score. If your calcium score is 0, your chance of having a heart attack over the next 2 to 5 years is very low; if calcium is found, you may be at risk for coronary artery disease. Vascular Age Screening: This test uses ultrasound to measure the thickness of the inner layer of your carotid artery (the large artery in your neck). The result estimates the "age" of your arteries. If your vascular age is higher than your actual age, you may be at risk for coronary artery disease.
