Biography - Richard W. Lee, M.D.

Dr. Richard W. Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery at The Methodist Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical School. Dr. Lee completed a two year fellowship in Vascular Surgery at The Strong Memorial Hospital at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. His research interests include the efficacy of carotid stents in high risk surgical patients and the endovascular treatment of lesions in the superficial femoral artery. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Lee is a vascular surgeon with extensive endovascular experience. He has a full time appointment at Methodist Willowbrook Hospital where he can assist patients with any type of peripheral vascular disease including varicose and spider veins, carotid and aortic disease, dialysis access and arterial insufficiency and limb salvage. He is also a member of the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography and is a Registered Vascular Technologist (R.V.T.)
Dr. Lee earned his undergraduate degree in German and has traveled extensively in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. He and his wife enjoy taking their three little boys to their family cattle ranch in the Western United States.
