The Methodist Primary Care Clinic provides adult medical care to the Houston community. The Primary Care Clinic is the clinical arm of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Methodist. The clinic is staffed by resident physicians under the supervision of experienced internists who hold Weill Medical College of Cornell University faculty appointments.

The Primary Care Clinic is located on the 11th floor of Smith Tower, in newly redesigned and renovated space, providing access to state-of-the-art technology and treatment. The Primary Care clinic can serve as the place for all general medical needs. Patients enjoy the spacious, comfortable reception area complete with gourmet coffee and tea, soothing 225-gallon fresh-water aquarium and 2 computer stations with internet access.

Q - How long does it take to get an appointment to see a physician?
A - Appointments are available at the Primary Care Clinic within 48 hrs; however, patients can frequently be seen on the same day they call.

Q - What physician will see me in the clinic?
A - You will be seen by a resident physician and staff physician in an academic environment. Many patients prefer an academic environment because the physician takes a history of the patient on their first visit. The patient has extensive contact with the resident physician, and is then also briefly seen by the staff physician. This results in excellence in thoroughness of healthcare.

Q - Where do I park?
A - Valet and self-parking are both available at Smith Tower. Parking is also available in the adjacent Scurlock Tower, and across the street at the Hospital facilities in both Texas Medical Center garages #1 & 7. Metro buses and the Metro light rail stop directly in front of Smith Tower for easy access for those utilizing public transportation.

Q - Where do I go for lab work?
A - The Methodist Hospital laboratory, Quest laboratory and Labcorp laboratory are all located in the Smith Tower on the 5th floor.

Q - Is there a pharmacy nearby?
A - Yes, there is a pharmacy located on the 2nd floor in Scurlock Tower located just minutes from the Primary Care Clinic.

Q - Are there restaurants and shopping nearby?
A - Yes. There are four dining choices located in Smith and Scurlock Towers, in addition to the Fannin Street Café and the Bistro located in the Main hospital directly across the street. Gift and specialty shops are located in Smith and Scurlock Towers. There is also a wide variety of eating facilities within walking distance of the Clinic. Banking services are available onsite.

Nearby Rice Village is within 5 minutes of the Primary Care Clinic. "The Village" is known for its fine restaurants, as well as an endless variety of shops and services.
