Membership & Credentialing

Office of Governance & Faculty Affairs

The Office of Governance and Faculty Affairs provides support for the HMRI Board of Directors and its associated committees. These functions include managing the research credentialing process, the HMRI membership process, HMRI new employee and departmental orientations, and training/proficiency requirements of the annual focal point review processes.

Research Credentialing

The Research Institute credentialing process is designed to ensure that all research personnel, regardless of employment, undertaking research efforts within the Houston Methodist Hospital are registered with HMRI and have completed necessary training requirements for research personnel. Forms and information can be found within the research credentialing module of MORTI. For questions regarding credentialing, please contact our credentialing specialists at tmhricredentialing@houstonmethodist.org

Research Institute Membership

HMRI membership is open to all members of the medical staff whether or not they have an academic affiliation. Specifically, one need not be a member of the Methodist Physician’s Organization or have a Weill Cornell appointment to become a member of the Research Institute. For membership questions, please contact Mariana Pope at 713-441-1791 or mpope@houstonmethodist.org.

Research Insitute Onboarding

The Research Institute onboarding process has special requirements. For questions regarding onboarding, please contact our onboarding specialists at tmhrionboarding@houstonmethodist.org
