Biography

Dr. Pleitez joined the Baylor College of Medicine as an Instructor of Neurology in 1997. She became an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Pathology at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 2002, where she collaborated on several clinical trials with ALS patients. Dr. Pleitez came to the Methodist Neurological Institute in 2005, and received her faculty appointment at the Weill Medical School in 2006.

Description of Research

Dr. Pleitez’s research focuses on clinical trails of investigational new drugs for the treatment of ALS, Peripheral Symmetrical Diabetic Polyneuropathy, Myasthenia Gravis, and Pompe Disease.
