Dr. Holmes began her academic career in 1996 as a Faculty Instructor in the Ob/Gyn Residency Program at Allegheny University/Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. After spending several years in private practice, she returned to academia in 2003 when she assumed her current positions at Methodist and St. Joseph Medical Center, where she is the Co-Director of Competencies, and the Mentorship Director for the Ob/Gyn Residency Program.

Description of Research

Dr. Holmes conducts clinical trials in obstetrics and gynecology, covering various topics such as urethral injury after hysterectomy, cervical cancer, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and sexually transmitted diseases. She has contributed numerous text book chapters on these topics. Her current research project aims to determine the most accurate method to assess amniotic fluid volume in pregnancy.
