Dr. Jaya Paranilam is a research associate at the Center for Biostatistics in The Methodist Hospital Research Institute. Prior to joining the institute in 2007, Dr. Paranilam was an epidemiologist for NASA and a research assistant at the University of Texas’ School of Public Health. Dr. Paranilam is a current member of the American Public Health Association.

Description of Research

Design and analysis of clinical trials pertaining to atherosclerosis, hypertension, and renal disease. Other areas of interest include elucidating the determinants of survival and the progression of cognitive impairment in vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
