Biography

Dr. David A. Braunreiter is an assistant professor of clinical family medicine at the Houston Methodist Academic Institute. He is also an assistant professor of family medicine in clinical medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Braunreiter earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He completed his family medicine residency training at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed his primary care sports medicine fellowship at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1998, Dr. Braunreiter joined the Mercy Sports Medicine Center in Janesville, Wisconsin where he served as the program director of their primary care sports medicine fellowship program. A year later he relocated to Houston, Texas and joined the Department of Family Medicine at Memorial Hermann to become the program director for their family medicine residency program and their sports medicine fellowship program. In 2004, Dr. Braunreiter went into private practice for seven years, and then joined Houston Methodist in 2011. For over 15 years, he has actively participated in the treatment of medical and orthopedic conditions for patients all over the Houston area.
