Clinical trials are research studies that let physicians and researchers test new treatment methods and measure their safety and effectiveness compared to traditional treatments.

Methodist Cancer Center partners with Houston Methodist Research Institute, one of the leading research facilities in the United States, to test innovative new treatments for many different types of cancer.

Houston Methodist Research Institute (TMHRI) was formed in 2004 to rapidly and efficiently translate discoveries made in the laboratory and the clinic into new diagnostics, therapies, and treatments.

Houston Methodist offers three National Cancer Institute funded multidisciplinary centers:

  • The Center for Transport Oncophysics
  • The Texas Center for Cancer Nanomedicine
  • The Center for Systematic Modeling of Cancer Development
