Legacy Community Health Services operates four community health centers that provide comprehensive, primary healthcare services to all Houstonians in a culturally sensitive, judgment-free and confidential environment. Each year, Legacy provides no-cost or low-cost healthcare services to over 30,000 men, women and children.
Legacy's clinic in Montrose located at 215 Westheimer has specialized in HIV/AIDS testing, education, treatment and social services since the early 1980s. The clinic also offers primary healthcare, family planning, STD screening and treatment, behavioral health services and transgender care. Our nearby facility at 3311 Richmond Avenue houses the Frost Eye Clinic and Body Positive Wellness services, offering nutrition counseling, physical therapy and personal training.
Our clinic in Houston's Fifth Ward is located inside the Lyons Avenue Health Center at 5602 Lyons Avenue and offers adult primary care, pediatric care, HIV/STD testing and treatment, behavioral health services and family planning, as well as eye care services once a week. Legacy's newest facility is the Southwest Clinic, located in the Gulfton neighborhood. This clinic is predominantly a pediatric and maternity clinic, although we also offer adult primary care, behavioral health services and a multitude of educational programs for the community. Legacy will begin operating a dental clinic inside the nearby Baker-Ripley Community Center in September 2010.
