Whether the problem is a sprained ankle or a sore throat, CPAM’s goal is to get artists back on stage as soon as possible. Medical professionals are ready to help 24 hours a day, seven days a week and have agreed to make appointments available to performers within 48 hours.

Many of the more than 2,000 professional and amateur artists who live in and around Houston are treated at Methodist every year, and CPAM’s services are also available to the dozens of guest artists performing in Houston each season.

The CPAM Artist Card, available to performers who register with the center, ensures that members of the performing arts community receive medical care that keeps their artistic needs in focus. When an Artist Card-holder visits a Methodist emergency department, they will be assigned a patient liaison who will notify the appropriate CPAM specialist(s) as needed to coordinate treatment for that artist.
