Xi Wang is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Systems Medicine and Bioengineering, Research Institute. She graduated with a Ph.D. degree in Physics (experimental optics) from Texas A&M University. She obtained her B.S. degree in Physics (crystal and material) from Nanjing University, China and M.S. degree in Physics (experimental optics) from Peking University, China.

Xi’s current research focuses on molecule-vibrational spectroscopy and imaging, particularly coherent Raman scattering (e.g. coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS), stimulated Raman scattering (SRS)), as well as laser therapy and their associated applications to cancer detection, diagnosis, and treatment. She is also interested in ultrafast laser science and technology, nonlinear optics, quantum optics, and applications of molecular coherence in biological and biomedical areas.
