Dr. Todd Trask is an expertise in the surgical treatment of brain and spinal tumors, microsurgery of cerebral aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations, and stereotactic radiosurgery for trigeminal neuralgia. He also performs spinal surgery, including spinal reconstruction.
Dr. Trask serves as the medical director of Houston Methodist Hospital Neurological Intensive Care Unit and as chairman of the hospital’s Neurosurgery Performance Improvement Committee. He has a longstanding interest in experimental treatments for malignant brain tumors, and performed one of the earliest studies on the use of gene therapy in brain tumors.
Dr. Trask graduated from Duke University and received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed a residency in neurosurgery at Baylor College of Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery, and has twice served as a guest examiner for the board.
