Program Director and Faculty
Leonard H. Goldberg, M.D., F.R.C.P.
Dr. Goldberg, a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, is world-renowned in the field of dermatologic surgery. He is a leader in Mohs micrographic surgery and is both a recognized speaker and author of more than 250 publications on this subject. He was Chief of Dermatologic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine and is a member of numerous professional societies and committees, including the American Academy of Dermatology. He has been a Fellowship Director for the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology for 25 years and now serves as Program Director for the ACGME Accredited Procedural Dermatology Fellowship Program.
Dr. Goldberg is a board member and trustee of the Texas Dermatology Society and a past President of the Houston Dermatological Society. He currently serves as the Medical Director & Chief of Surgery, DermSurgery Associates PA, Houston, Texas, is a Clinical Professor in Dermatology, University of Texas Medical School at Houston, Texas and Clinical Professor, Department of Dermatology, Weill Medical College of Cornell University, Houston Methodist Hospital.
Arash Kimyai-Asadi, M.D.
Arash Kimyai-Asadi, M.D. is a board-certified Dermatologist specializing in Mohs micrographic surgery for the treatment of skin cancers. During his 3 years as an undergraduate student at the Johns Hopkins University School of Arts and Science, he completed a triple major, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with Bachelors of Arts in Biology, Philosophy, and Psychology. He subsequently attended medical school at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. He received his dermatology training at the prestigious Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology at New York University, where he served as a resident and chief resident. Subsequently, he completed a Mohs micrographic surgery fellowship accredited by the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology at DermSurgery Associates with Dr. Leonard Goldberg.
Dr. Asadi has published over 75 articles and book chapters in clinical and surgical dermatology. His current research focuses on techniques that improve cancer detection at surgical margins thereby minimizing recurrence rates after cancers are surgically removed, as well as improved techniques for aesthetic reconstruction of the face after skin cancer removal. He is regularly invited to present his techniques and research findings at national meetings that focus on dermatologic and reconstructive surgery. He is a member of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Academy of Dermatology. As an expert in skin cancer surgery and aesthetic reconstruction after removal of skin cancers, he receives hundreds of referrals each year from dermatologists around the Houston metropolitan area and beyond.
Lucile White, M.D.
Dr. Lucile White is the Director of The DermSurgery Laser Center in Houston, TX. She completed her undergraduate training at Princeton University and received her medical degree with honors from the University of Chicago School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Dermatology at the University of Chicago hospitals, where she served as Chief Resident. She completed an additional fellowship year of training in Mohs surgery, lasers, and cosmetics at Northwestern University. Prior to relocating to Houston in 2007, Dr. White served as faculty in Dermatology at Northwestern University in Chicago. She is frequently published in the dermatology journals and has written numerous book chapters. Dr. White is on staff at Houston Methodist Hospital & Memorial Hermann Hospital. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons, Women's Dermatological Society and the American Society of Laser and Medical Surgery.
Some of her recent appointments include: Women's Dermatologic Surgeons Committee of the AAD, Website Development for the WDS, The AAD Workforce Taskforce, the AAD's Interdisciplinary Education Taskforce and the Alumi Schools Committee – Outreach Chair, Princeton University.
