Biography

Dr. Geoffrey Land is the Director of the Histocompatibility and Transplant ImmunologyLaboratory at the Houston Methodist Hospital. Additionaly, he is the co-director of the Microbiology Laboratory. Dr. Land received his Ph.D from Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans and performed his post doctoral fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham NC. Dr. Land is the current president of the American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics and serves on the UNOS (United Network of Organ Sharing) Board of Directors. He is involved in numerous organizations specializing in laboratory science. T and B cell immunomodulation and response are research interests of Dr. Land.
