“Surgery should be performed in the least invasive fashion through which accepted surgical goals can safely, efficiently, and effectively be accomplished.”
— Patrick Reardon, M.D., FACS

This is the credo that guides our program here at Houston Methodist Hospital. We want to provide our patients with the best surgical outcomes, based on existing standards, in the least invasive fashion possible. Most frequently, this will mean utilizing laparoscopy or thoracoscopy. Dr. Reardon and Dr. Dunkin perform a broad range of advanced general surgery operations. This includes operating on the GI tract, from the proximal esophagus to the rectum.
