Biography

Dr. Coffey obtained her M.D. degree from the University of Costa Rica in San Jose in 1991. She then completed a pathology residency and cytopathology fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas before joining the faculty at Baylor as an assistant professor in the Department of Pathology.

Dr. Coffey is a general surgical pathologist with subspecialty training in cytopathology. Her areas of interest are gynecologic pathology and cytopathology. She is currently involved in several collaborative studies using tissue microarrays of gynecologic malignancies.
