Dr. Balsaver is a medical graduate of the University of Bombay, India and pursued his residency training in India, the United Kingdom, and the United States. He finished his residency training at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan and then completed a fellowship in cancer pathology at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. After serving two years in the Army Medical Corps at Irwin Army Hospital, Ft. Riley, Kansas, Dr. Balsaver practiced pathology at the Diagnostic Clinic of Houston for over thirty years. He is now an attending pathologist at Houston Methodist Hospital.
Dr. Balsaver is a general surgical pathologist with almost 40 years of experience in diagnostic pathology. He is board certified in pathology (AP and CP) and a member of the Harris County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association, Texas Society of Pathologists, a fellow of the American Society for Clinical Pathology and College of American Pathologists, past president of the Houston Society of Clinical Pathologists and past president of the Texas Indo-American Physicians' Society. Dr. Balsaver has served as chief of staff and as president of the Board of Trustees of the Diagnostic Center Hospital, and as president of the Diagnostic Clinic of Houston.
