Cardiovascular Fellowship Program

The cardiovascular fellowship training program is designed to complete the general cardiovascular training requirements for individuals interested in pursuing a career in clinical, academic, or investigative cardiology. A strong clinical background and training experience are considered essential for each of these tracks. Our goal is to select the best clinicians and expose them to intensive training and research. All training will take place at Houston Methodist and its connected facilities located in the Texas Medical Center (main address is 6565 Fannin Street, Houston, Texas 77030).

Houston Methodist is a 915 bed acute care referral hospital with a historical emphasis on cardiovascular disease. The facilities include a 56-bed post-operative cardiovascular ICU and an 18-bed CCU, as well as state-of-the-art laboratories and procedural facilities. The cardiology procedure facilities include 10 designated catheterization laboratories with stereotaxis and robotic technology, 2 Cardiac MRI suites, and state-of-the-art Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology and Computed Tomography laboratories.

Our faculty include past-presidents of the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and American Society of Echocardiography.

If you have a strong background in medicine and would like to begin a comprehensive cardiovascular training program, we would like to invite you to apply to our cardiovascular fellowship training program. We believe that the completion of this training program will provide you with the training that you need to successfully pursue your goal in clinical, academic, or investigative cardiology.
