Pelvic Organ and Rectal Prolapse

Pelvic organ and rectal prolapse is associated with weakness of muscles and ligaments that hold pelvic organs in place. The pelvic floor, made up of muscles, ligaments and tissues, supports pelvic organs, including the uterus, bladder and rectum.

Our goal is to provide our patients answers, services and expert care across several medical specializations. Houston Methodist's Center for Restorative Pelvic Medicine specializes in treating women with pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence and fecal incontinence, as well as men with problems following surgery or radiation therapy for prostate cancer.
