The Hamill Foundation

As business and civic leaders who dedicated their lives to the betterment of Houston, Claud and Marie Hamill left an indelible mark upon numerous charitable causes in our community. The Hamill’s personal generosity and commitments through The Hamill Foundation continue to create lasting improvements in our city.

Claud and Marie Hamill and The Hamill Foundation have provided generous contributions to fund some of Houston Methodist’s most vital programs since 1974. Their philanthropy has supported a broad array of initiatives, including prostate cancer research, community stroke education, nursing excellence, neurodegenerative disease research, bereavement intervention and many other critical areas. As treasured and cherished friends of Houston Methodist, their giving has allowed this institution to make a difference in countless lives.

In 2016, The Hamill Foundation helped establish the Men’s Comprehensive Health Initiative in the Houston Methodist Department of Urology. This program will enhance overall men’s health by providing coordinated specialty care, translational research and health professional education. In recognition of this generous contribution and their longstanding philanthropic spirit, Houston Methodist dedicates The Hamill Foundation Lobby in their honor.
